Interfaith Philadelphia has a wide array of internship opportunities for undergraduate students,
seminarians, and graduate students (as well as recent graduates) from across the country. We are seeking
summer interns (June – August) who are passionate about grassroots community work and intergroup understanding. Interns will be able to:
- Work with our Youth Initiatives to plan and execute our Youth Neighborhood Mosaic summer
program - Join our Leadership Institute team to strategically plan, market, facilitate, and evaluate a year of
dialogue workshops and educational events - Manage the website, social media, e-newsletters, and multimedia resources within the
communications department - Research and develop educational resources on religious diversity and pluralism in our region
- Work with nonprofits and congregations in our region doing peace-building work through our Zones of Peace initiative
- Support our development team through event planning, material design, and grant writing
- And much more…
Interns can also expect individual mentoring from Interfaith Philadelphia staff and board members who will help interns to build professional skills such as communication, relationship-building, leadership, project-management, teamwork, persuasive writing, and personal impact development.
Interfaith Philadelphia operates in a hybrid format, meeting in person on Mondays and Tuesdays and
virtually Wednesdays through Fridays.
Interfaith Philadelphia is able to offer a small stipend to our interns, but we also encourage applicants to seek outside funding sources. We are happy to help interns earn course credit or develop an independent study program through their college or university.
