Art of Interfaith Understanding: Connections: Light and Color, Art and Text; the Stained Glass Windows of Reform Congregation Keneseth Israel
The ten stunning stained-glass windows which surround KI’s large sanctuary comprise a series titled The Prophetic Quest. They combine ancient symbolism and traditional teachings with the colors, shapes and imagery of sophisticated art movements in the 1950’s. Rabbi David will help us appreciate and understand the message and impact of the windows and introduce us to other elements of the sanctuary that bring the congregation together for prayer, learning, and celebration.
