Religious Literacy Panel Discussions

Our Religious Literacy Panel Discussions provide a powerful training opportunity for departments or entire organizations. Tailored to meet your specific goals, these sessions offer valuable insights into a variety of religious traditions through a panel of experts. Past panels have featured representatives from the Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Baha’i, Sikh, Buddhist, Catholic, Mormon, and Protestant communities. After a moderated panel discussion and an open Q&A session, we explore critical issues through case studies relevant to your organization’s context.

Key Themes

  • Moving Beyond Religious Accommodation
  • Celebrating and Respecting Life Cycle Events
  • Religious Competency for Health Professionals
  • Cultural Sensitivity and Literacy for Emergency Management Workers
  • Best Practices for Engaging Employees from a Range of Faith Backgrounds
  • Building a Multi-Faith Workplace

Interactive Case Studies

Our Interactive Case Studies offer a deep dive into workplace scenarios tailored to your organization’s specific needs. Led by Interfaith Philadelphia staff, participants break into small groups to analyze various industry-relevant case studies. This engaging program is ideal for those who have experience working in multi-faith and wish to explore diversity issues more comprehensively.

Coaching & Consultation

Interfaith Philadelphia offers confidential coaching and consultation for managers, human resources professionals, and diversity personnel who need guidance on navigating employees’ faith traditions, practices, and needs. Our team is available to work with employers on specific situations, answer general faith-related questions, and advise on accommodating religious observances that align with organizational values and help prevent conflicts. Consultations are available both virtually and in person.

Training Workshops

We provide training workshops that can complement our panel discussions, consultations, and case study sessions or be offered as stand-alone programs. These workshops are designed for managers who lead multi-faith teams or those looking to build a more productive workplace culture. Available as one- to two-hour sessions, half-day, or full-day workshops, they can be integrated into broader training or delivered separately.

  • Society of Human Resource Management
Religion and spirituality, for many employees, are no longer a part of their lives that they leave at home. For many employees, it is a way of life—their religion and spirituality define who they are.
