Mentoring Children & Youth

theVillage, formerly known as Presbyterian Children’s Village, is a non-profit organization established in 1877. It provides services to children and families impacted by trauma in the Philadelphia area. It strives to prevent abuse and neglect, and when they occur, to heal their impact. Their goal is to build healthier families, which will lead to more stable communities. They provide services in foster care and adoption as well as outpatient mental health services, family empowerment services and after-school programs.

They also have a campus in Rosemont that provides residential treatment and supervised independent living for teen girls who have experienced trauma and have serious mental and behavioral health treatment needs. Their program includes clinical services, therapeutic activities, such as music and art therapy, and an on grounds school.
